This game is small in stature, much like the other "House of Marbles" games we have owned. I bought this game, along with "Hoopla" because they were both on clearance. I don't feel as if I got my money's worth, even for the price I paid. This game is extremely hard to master, especially if you're 6-years-old or younger. My kids grew frustrated with this game rather quickly, and it hasn't been out of the closet since.

I bought this for a learning center in classrooms--thought the kids could add or multiply the numbers and have fun learning. Does not work very well at all--very frustrating. I made about 1 out of 5 shots and always got the ball through the same number. Definitely not worth even $4.50--I'm definitely returning this to Amazon.

I bought this for my 4 year old grandson. He loves sports and balls and thought this would be something he could set up in the house and throw a ball and have the net be a backstop. We like how easy it is to set up although we would like to have more than 3 stiff noodles. The biggest disappointment was the net. The holes are too big and the ball goes right through defeating our whole purpose in buying it for him. Why have a net if it doesn't stop the ball.

We requested and received this as a gift for my son's 4th birthday. Unfortunately it's a big disappointment and a bit of a frustrating toy for him (and me!). The connecting pieces are essentially pool noodles with hard ends that have magnets. They are sturdy enough, but when you construct a game setup (according to the encosed directions) the whole setup is very floppy and it falls over before they can even play the game. The basketball game pictured is a perfect example - it flops from side to side - maybe the magnets aren't strong enough or the noodles need to be stiffer? Not sure, but basically this toy stays in a closet at our house. Occasionally my son sees it and drags it out, but after creating one design, he loses interest and back it goes... Also, a magnet on one of the noodles came off - not good! Don't bother with this toy - too frustrating!

I bought this game to play with my grandkids when they came to visit. It was a big hit. Even our teen who is way too cool for board games asked to join in when she saw us laughing and having so much fun.

Triviathon is a fast-paced trivia game that doesn't take hours to play, which I appreciate. Also, you don't have to know the answers to play or win (you choose answers A, B, C, or D) so it's good for all ages to play together and no one ends up feeling "dumb", especially grandma. It's also educational, but please don't tell the kids.

There is a unique twist to the game. Each character has a task that only they can perform during the game. For example, players will be singing, dancing, arm-wrestling, making up cheers, doing push-ups, just to name a few. This gets everyone up and moving and gives each player a chance to shine.

We really had a blast and I was surprised when my grandkids came to visit again and the first thing they asked when they came in the door was, "Grandma, can we play Triviathon again?" I would definitely recommend this game for visits to grandma's house, a family game night, or even as a party game to break the ice. I had as much fun playing as the kids did.

This product was bought for a stocking stuffer for my avid golfer son of 15. Him and his dad have sat down to play it a couple of times. The game is really a no brainer and isn't super exciting, but they have enjoyed it. Roll each dice independently or all at the same time and then count up your strokes. Its not on the top 100 of most exciting games, but it can fill up some free time and have fun while doing it.

I would compare the educational value of this toy to that of a brick, though this product is clearly more child friendly.

My 4 year old got this about a year ago. He plays with it once-in-a-while. I actually played with the toy the other day probably for the second or third time ever. I have to tell you, I got really frustrated with it as the balls would go completely over the toy (I don't really have a heavy hand), and if I made it in the basket, the return would get jammed. So, I watched my son play and he seemed to have fun with it, but he was disappointed that when I put the batteries in that the toy didn't keep score visually or have lights. The toy does have sound and sometimes realizes that a basket was made - don't shoot too close together or it won't recognize your second score. That's no fun, especially when your being timed!

Neat idea for a toy, just could've been better.

I really love this glow-in-the-dark ball. It's unusual fleshy texture makes it very warm and inviting to the touch. It's easy to catch. You can make it softer by partially inflating it (great for a toddler to hold) and you can use it inside the house with little worry of harming anything.

But what I love most about this ball is its warm, green glow when you play with it in a darkened room. It's nicer than other glow-in-the dark balls I've owned in the past.

I agree that it is realistic and full of strategy, but it is too much work to learn the game. A willing adult is needed to read the directions over and over. The rules of the game are easy enough for a 10 year old; there are just so many. This will be a great game for him and his friends when he is about 12 and has more patience and appreciation for strategy.

When I played my son in Playstation 2 Madden, it was no contest. He would kill me every game. This was done by throwing bombs on 4th and 20. I got Pizza Box football to play a game based on realism versus skill of a controller. Although the game has limited plays, I believe it catches the essence of the game. In Pizza Box football, my son the bomb thrower would punt on 4th and 2. We played about 4 games before the football season was over. He and I both love the game. We play a half, then take a break and play the second half. When we played he Superbowl this year, he barely beat me as he was playing he Patriots. He said that wasn't realisic only to be suprised when the patriots loss the real superbowl. It is a game of dice and statistics so go for the bomb and there is a good chance you will not make it. I recommend getting the game. A great father and son game.

At first we found this game rather difficult; but once we learned the handicapping system we were having loads of fun. Players without a lot of knowledge in geography can compete with players who are experts...and still win. I like how you have to read lattitude and longitude to get oriented before answering the question. The game arrived very quickly in perfect condition. We actually bought this one as a gift because we already owned the game and had some friends that we knew would love it. We gave a similar car (police version) to my son for Christmas this year. It by far is his favorite toy besides the fisher price camera. He figured it out pretty quickly and the remote does require some getting used to. He uses both joy sticks - one controls the flipping around of the front axel and the other controls speed and forward and backward movement. It did go down a flight of a stairs a few times which only cracked the plastic roof but only because it landed that way on a tile floor at the bottom one time. It still works great and he loves the lights. Great toy for the price for your little one or for a birthday gift. Happy buying!

This toy seems to be the "economical version" of the Old Century Baseball Tabletop Games made by the same company. Instead of 3 ramps, this game only has 1. It is also much smaller. Overall, my 8 year old and 11 year old really like it and play with it from time to time. It doesn't hold their attention as long as a nintendo DS (what does?), but they'll bang around on it for a good 15-20 minutes a few times a week. I like it because the price was right and it's not plastic. It really is wood. It sounds funny, but it just feels good to play this game. Additionally, the unit is built very well and is proably more durable than one might expect. They didn't scrimp on manufacturing this unit and I would expect their other games are the same.

Took us some time to get the homeruns figured out but now that we have it's great. "Terrible - ball barely bounces" 2009-12-26

I bought this on a lightning deal and gave it to my husband for Christmas. We played with it about 5 minutes. The ball is made of foam as well as the paddles. The ball barely bounces. You have to hit it a lot harder than normal to make it over the net. Then when you expect the ball to bounce back up so you can hit it again, it just kind of rolls on the table. This is not fun - just another source of frustration.

After purchasing five games (At The Zoo, Sports, Glitz & Glamour, Kids Version and Bird Watch) and testing each to be sure all were in proper working condition before gifting, the conclusion on each is that they are a very clever, addictive, themed game everyone can enjoy, anywhere, anytime, at any age. Each game is a different brightly colored themed container, which means the pellets and objects blend together very nicely, making it even more difficult to find objects. Hunting for the hidden objects in the colored plastic pellets can be fun and frustrating, since shaking it, twisting it, spinning it does not always bring the object to the surface, but buries it. Each Find It comes with a object check off pad which is also shown on the the end of game. The number of objects/items to be found range from 39 to 48, depending on the theme. These games are very portable and easy to carry in tote bags or backpacks.

Find It Kids & Glitz & Glamour were donated to a fifth grade classroom as a reward (time earned to play) for small classroom achievements. Students learn object identification, early ready/letter recognitition, deductive reasoning and patience! I have not received any feedback as yet but know it will be fun for all the students. One has been gifted to an adult who is recuperating from surgery and will be spending lots of down time sitting, and waiting in medical offices.

We got this for our son's 14th Birthday because he's a big football fan. He had so much fun with it I had to remind him he had friends over. I ordered it because I remember playing on my big brothers with him and we had so much fun. It was one of the best memories I had when my brother and I got along. LOL! Football like the in the old days before video games - for that reason its good. The game now uses batteries and can be played any where - also turns on/off and high/low by each user very easy (duel controls)

The game intends you to use a tiny little football with a flimsy little kicker/passer - this was broken in minutes

Game play gets good after try-outs mark your fastest runners with a pen - play game as touch football without passing there's lots of action when you limit the number of players (6 on 6)

Game is great because of the time not spent playing on the TV learning the different players capabilities and setting up the formations that are needed to score and winning the game (relates to real football)

"Fun and exciting but REALLY hard" 2008-12-30

I have never played on of these before, but I just bought one for my friend as a gift. It is actually pretty cool, and can be really fun and exciting.

I have 2 complaints:

1. Most of the players don't run straight. The set includes some bases that are supposed to allow you to adjust the turning of the player, but it doesn't really work at all. I ended up taking those off and just using the "straight" bases. Even so, most guys just run in a circle. Sometimes even a really tight circle, like one inch diameter. This is really annoying when it is your ball carrier. There may be a way to adjust the straight bases, but as far as I know there aren't instructions telling you how.

2. Passing is almost impossible. It's hard to explain how passing works, but essentially you are trying to catapult the tiny foam ball over to one of your tiny players, and the ball has to hit the player. One of the problems is that the ball needs to be wedged onto the "catapult" before you fling it, so it is hard to gage how much flicking it takes to release the ball, let alone pass it a certain distance. The game ends up being run-only.

I have only played this game for about an hour, though, so I'm sure it has a learning curve to it. Maybe passing is actually possible. Maybe you can fine tune the circling of the players. Regardless, the game can still have really exciting plays. Kicking works surprisingly well.

All in all, I can't say if I would recommend it. I'm not the best judge, because I haven't used it enough. But at the least I can say that it doesn't suck.

If you are looking for authentic NFL logos and graphics, this is the one to buy! It delivers much more than average similar games which just have a plain green field and generic teams. I did have a player break off from his base, however, so the durability is in question. But it is better than the games I remember from my childhood in many ways. With this set, some of the players are on 360 degree directional bases, so their direction can be controlled to tackle and run pass routes.
